Below is language you can use to make a bequest to support our cause. A bequest allows you to continue to use the property you will leave to us during your life and make a lasting impact after you are gone.

1. Specific Bequest

If you are considering making an outright bequest to Vermont Community Foundation, we recommend the following language:

Bequest of a Specific Dollar Amount

I hereby give, devise and bequeath _________ and No/100 dollars ($DOLLARS) to Vermont Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization located at 3 Court Street, Middlebury, VT 05753, Federal Tax ID #_______________, for Vermont Community Foundation's general use and purpose.

Bequest of Specific Personal Property

I hereby give, devise and bequeath DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY to Vermont Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization located at 3 Court Street, Middlebury, VT 05753, Federal Tax ID #_______________, for Vermont Community Foundation's general use and purpose.

Bequest of Specific Real Estate

I hereby give, devise and bequeath all of the right, title and interest in and to the real estate located at ADDRESS OR DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY to Vermont Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization located at 3 Court Street, Middlebury, VT 05753, Federal Tax ID #_______________, for Vermont Community Foundation's general use and purpose.

Bequest to an Existing Fund

I bequeath _________ (describe dollar amount, property to be given, or proportion of your residuary estate) to The Vermont Community Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization located at 3 Court Street, Middlebury, VT 05753, Federal Tax ID #_______________, to be added to the _______________ Fund, a component fund of The Vermont Community Foundation, and I direct that this bequest become part of this Fund.
